Narcissen (Daffodils)
My final proof print is this gradient, a print where the colours mix into each other. It was an experiment, because I did not really draw as much as sketch it on the lino directly, which you can see at best in the bulbs. I like the way that has turned out because I feel the freshness of the drawing marks translated into rough little cuts matches these fresh flowers very well. I love the fiery little ones, that almost without water just spring out of the soil in march. They stood on my table like this for only a week or so (then they got too long).
I made a very small edition of 10 handprinted copies. It measures 24x16 cm (A5) and is printed in green and yellow ink on Simili Japon paper of 130 grams, made in Holland (as will some with watermarks show). The price includes taxes and exludes shipping (of €4,85 in Europe and €9,85 world wide).
